Red Cover's Terms & Conditions of Trading have been approved by The British Association of Picture Libraries and Agencies (BAPLA) and are considered standard within the industry. TERMS & CONDITIONS - SUMMARY
Credit: The Photographer and Red Cover must appear on the credit line. Failure to credit will result in an additional charge being made.
Publication: On publication at least one copy or several tear sheets must be sent for our files.
Fees: Any agreed fees are conditional upon payment within 30 days of the invoice date. No rights are granted until payment is received in full.
Search: Our standard service/search fee is £30.
Loss Fees: The responsibility of the images passes to the client on receipt. Our standard loss fee is approximately £750 for an original transparency; the actual figurers are detailed on each delivery note and are based on the estimated loss of future earnings over the copyright period.
Loan Period: 30 days free rental.
Rental fee: Pictures must be returned or reproduction rights ordered by the date of return, to avoid being charged. Any reasonable extensions to the date of return can be made on request.
Any new client who does not wish to accept our terms and conditions must return all pictures immediately, properly packed, with proof of posting - otherwise the client will be deemed to have accepted our terms and conditions.
